To Taste Each Day

I want to
taste each day
with all its bubbles

And never
be afraid to
experience the
beauties and thorns

Or shut myself
in a numb core
of strained feels

Or take
the easy way out
of avoidance
and pretense

But to learn
and think
in the now

To think
and live
in this moment

To live
and learn
with all
that’s afforded

To learn
and live

To taste
each day
with euphoria

To kiss
each day
with toxified bliss

To live
with gleaned insight
and new understanding
of this present moment.
